Plug 284 (P/N: 802-0030) is a custom test lead used to connect the DUT (Device Under Test) with D&V Electronics’ alternator and voltage regulator testing systems. It connects the measuring circuits of the test system to the terminals of the voltage regulator. An OEM proprietary plug is used on one end of the plug with D&V’s Standard 12-Pin White Connector on the other end. Each plug is to be used with a specific type of regulator and is not universal. Please consult the terminal list found below for more details.
Technical Specifications
Plug 284 has the following terminal list. The Lamp (L) terminal which is located at pin 11, the Computer (COMP) terminal which is located at pin 10, and the Ignition (IG) terminal which is located at pin 6. The proprietary OEM plug used by Plug 2840 is the Denso Round Plug which is compatible with Ford, GM, and Japanese alternators and regulators.
Plug 284 is compatible with the following testing systems: JBT-3, JBT-5, JBT-5P, JBT-6, AST-10, all ALT test systems, VRT-10, CVT-7A.
If the plug you are looking for does not have the white connector but has a green one (for example from the JBT-1 testing ffamily), please search for plugs starting with part number 822.
